It had been an interesting experience for Neyes, being in Starfleet Academy. As a tried and true Trill citizen, the host and symbiont of Neyes had always preferred to bask in the comforts of home. The purple oceans, the deep hues of color sprinkled across the jungle world, and the rich passion for life... There was always the reassurance of belonging and familiarity accompanied with his own people, and Neyes always enjoyed it. So it was a great victory for him to bring that the the human-majority of his crew. Many of them had lost friends and family in the attack. Mentors were killed or homes destroyed, there were very few people on the ship who hadn't suffered a loss as a result of the Triad attack on Earth. Landon wanted to help ease the stress a little.

He wriggled in his seat a little, "How long now?"

The helmsman smirked, "It's been five minutes since you asked ten minutes ago, so... five minutes."

Neyes smiled slightly, he felt a little guilty for his excitement, but couldn't help it. He liked Earth. "All crew this is the Captain. We will be docking at Earth Spacedock momentarily, department heads please requisition all supplies necessary for your repairs and resupply efforts, and engage shore leave rotations immediately."

He'd figured they'd be in Earth orbit for a few days, maybe a little less. In Landon's mind, taking advantage of the time to rest and unwind was nothing short of paramount importance. Hopefully, the crew could find a way to recover their confidence and drive in that time. He had a feeling they would be back in the thick of things before long.
