Mission: In the Dark
Location: Command Tent

"El-tee." Jien said with a crisp salute as she walked into the tent. She did the salute only when she was feeling spunky. And for whatever reason this mission put her in a spunky mood.

Jasmine gave a quick wink to the women. "Ladies please take a seat we've got a lot of prep to do before we allow any teams to go out." Tea walked into the tent gave a curt nod to the detachment commander and took a seat quickly. She wanted to get this mission over with all of this open space was getting to her.

"Alright we've got the sniper nests set-up here and here." Jasmine said pointing at two red dots here, "they've got a kill box set-up which means any teams coming in hot have 15 seconds at most to get through the kill box." Jien looked at the map to someone who wasn't about combat this seemed a bit overkill but essentially the 51st and the scientist were on their own.

"These 3 are the spots that scientists want to check out for whatever this mineral is." Jasmine said pointing to 3 blue dots, "it's a 1.5 to 2 hour walk from camp. Gunny you'll take them out they'll have 6 hours. Meaning you'll babysit 3 than corporal Dean and his team well do the last 3 and get them back to camp."

Jien just nodded, knowing that this seemed simple enough, but with scientist it could get complicated fast. "What exactly are the scientist looking for?"

"Some kind of mineral that's nothing like we've seen before.....and StarFleet science wants to study it." Jasmine said taking a seat herself. "But something doesn't feel right which is why we've brought you along Black." Tea remained where she was showing no intrigued waiting for the detachment commander.

"But these should help us keep an eye or at least give us a early warning system." Jasmine tossing a small sphere to Black, "think of these as floating are basically are eyes and ears out there. Problem is their range."

Catching the sphere Tea looked it over, "what's the power supply?"

"Simple dilithium core. But it can only stay active for 8 hours before the core needs to be changed." Jasmine said sliding a PaDD over with the basic specs, "and from my understanding you've used the prototype and Mk1 of this." Jasmine said with a smirk, "and I have just the two Marines for you to work with Red Queen and Harpyia."

Tea just grunted as she heard that the two lead pilot jocks would be helping her. "I work better alone?" Was all Tea said looking at Jasmine. Sensing something between Jasmine and the gunny but she would use whatever that was for later. "Plus the Seekers can be program to stay out for a certain amount of time or distance and once they hit that they return to a preprogrammed location."

This was true the newer versions of the Seeker had many many many more functions. And Tea was right as well it could be done with her. But with King gone Tea was her responsibility, "sorry but there going with you." Tea chuckled and shrugged as she leaned back.

"Alright Ives get with the science lead and get them going. And Black I'll Keggle and Howard meet you at the runabouts that black case near the entrance has the Seekers." Jasmine said nodding to the two that they were dismissed. Jien and Tea stood and headed for their respected duties.
