Mission: A Spot To Kill
Location: Earth

After the meeting Teá was beamed back to her place to pack up and it would allow her to chat with Sean before getting settled in back on the Vindi. Tapping a couple of things into her console as she waited for connection to go through she also set it up so it would transfer to the large screen in her bedroom. She quickly changed out of her uniform into black leather pants, a white "T" with a deep "V" neckline. As she started collecting her bedroom things; clothes, lingerie, toiletries and things like that.

Sean watched silently for a minute as Teá moved about the bedroom, shaking his head and grinning. He waited patiently for her to notice the call had connected.

Teá smirked finally looking up and noticing Sean, "liking the view I see?" Teá asked teasingly, "I've got some more good news."

Sean just shook his head with a laugh. "What's the craic, gorgeous?"

"My transfer papers went through. Commodore Ivanova still has doubts but with time I think she'll see that I'll be asset rather than a hindrance." Teá said with a bit of venom with the last part.

"Ivanova is usually a fair woman, and I know she and Pond are close," Sean returned, smiling reassuringly. "Give her time and just do your best. You've had a rough time of it lately, she probably hadn't seen your best face, is all."

"Yeah it's just frustrating that people just see a shady spook. And not the people pulling the strings." Teá speaking of her bosses or even her bosses bosses. "But hey that's all behind me now."

"When's Vindicator shipping out? Pond didn't say when I finally caught her yesterday. She went on about bamboo floors and a large four poster bed for her quarters, then had to go suddenly. You know how she is." He shook his head with a shrug.

"Soon. I was given 24 hours to get anything I need from here and get back to the Vindi." Teá said, "still haven't been briefed on what our mission is."

"Probably has somethin' to with Admiral Hark. Y'know he crashed their Christmas awards and promo party, yeah? You didn't get t' go t' that, did ya?"

"Didn't know that. And no wasn't able and most likely wasn't allowed to go. Probably was still blackballed." Teá said shrugging her shoulders as she continued to pack debating on a couple of things.

"One of those tabloids cracked the internal holofeed, and it's been everywhere since. Pond was laughing because she got front page time next to that batboy those rags are always going on about." Sean chuckled. "I guess Ivanova's a queen or somethin'?"

"Queen?" Teá said sounding confused, "can you send me that holofeed?" Teá asked stopping packing for the moment and looking at Sean. When something struck her a memory when they were taking RnR in Klingon space Vindi security was doing something keeping tabs on a semi-unwelcomed guest.

"The queen thing ain't in the holofeed, but all the places that carry the holofeed seem to have the sister story about the water people she's supposed to rule? I tried to ask Pond, but she changed the subject very fast." Sean frowned and shook his head as he split the screen and started to look for one of the more reputable sources of the news.

Water people? Teá thought, "thanks I know this probably is gonna put you in a weird position with Pond but the more I learn now the better use I am to the commodore."

"I really don't think Pond'll tell me anything," Sean insisted with a frown. "I can tell Pond knows something, but she got that look on her face she'd get when I'd ask about something classified she wasn't allowed to talk about."

Teá just nodded, "guess I know what I am doing once I get settled in. Not exactly how I planned my return tour." She said sighing.

"What do you mean?" Sean scratched his head and frowned.

"I'm gonna do what I do best getting intel. Need to get caught up." Teá said with a smirk, "nothing fancy just chatting up some officers."

"You're already not on Ivanova's good side... are you sure it's a good idea to go poking into her stuff?" Sean sighed, leaning forward towards the terminal to rest his chin on his hand. "Especially without orders to hide behind?"

"Probably not, but the CinC of Starfleet doesn't just crash an awards ceremony for a ship." Teá said looking at Sean, "and even if this queen business is just rumors that gossip columns that picked up there's still some truth to it. Whether or not the commodore likes it it's my job to be one step ahead and this is me getting one step ahead."

"I hope you know what you're doing, because if you cross Ivanova, I don't think she'll be merciful. I just don't want to see you make bags of things just when you're getting it all right again."

"I know she won't hell she told me when I met with her." Teá said looking down at her feet as she took a couple of deep breaths. "But if I keep the questions casual enough and make it look like I'm getting to know a department that I'll working with I don't think I'll alert anyone. And I am good at that.....or I should say I was before all of this mess."

"If you're not sure, don't risk your career on it, okay?" Sean sighed. "I just don't want t' see ya backslide if this blows up in your face."

"I won't....promise seeing that I have too much to lose." Teá said looking at Sean, "but if I don't try that just makes me a lazy intel officer which no one wants."

"I wouldn't mind a lazy intel officer, if it keeps you from crossing the likes of Ivanova," Sean muttered.

Teá looked at Sean, "I know I know babe, but would you sit idly by if something didn't feel right and that potential something could become disastrous for the ship and her crew?"

"The Commander in Chief of the fleet promoted a well liked officer to Commodore, at a party that was seen by the public, after a civil war... and Ivanova's maybe a queen, so now there are fishmen in the shadows?" Sean rubbed his temples with his thumb and middle finger, and sighed. "I need to get on duty. I'll talk to you later, Gorgeous."

"I know it's a stretch but......" But Teá was cut off when Sean said he needed to get to duty. "Alright I love you and please stay safe!" She said blowing him a kiss.

"You too, gorgeous, you too," he said, returning the gesture as he closed the channel.
