Mission: Secret Meetings
Location: Main Engineering.

=/\= Chief Engineer's Office, Main Engineering, USS Vindicator E =/\=

A blonde-haired young woman stepped into the office holding a pile of padds, each containing multiple reports from the night's maintenance routine, she moved to the desk opposite the currently occupied one and gave a quick smile in the direction of the Cardassian currently head down in the earlier pile.

“I'm sorry Chief, there are more to go through, but this is the last pile,” she said with a chirp to her voice as she glanced at the door and watched a group of engineers walk past, “Is there anything else I can get you sir?” she asked quickly as she thumbed her collar, which indicated she was a Petty Officer.

Looking up slowly, Almar gave a half smile and shook his head, “I'm good, thanks Gardner,” he replied as he picked up his mug and took a sip, returning his eyes to the padd in his other hand and flicking down a page, he shuffled back in his chair and bought his legs up to rest on the desk, reclining and finding a comfier position for the coming paperwork.

“If you need anything, you know where I am sir,” the young woman replied with a smile as she turned with a flourish and walked out of the office.

The Cardassian nodded and gave her another smile as she left, bringing up the last report on the padd he was reading.

Maintenance Log, Delta Shift, 23:45 241305.21
Chief Petty Officer Cole Thorson, Environmental Control Specialist.

On Stardate 241305.15, My team and I fixed a faulty coupling leading to the Environmental Control Master Display, the section in question has been repaired multiple times before, much in excess of Starfleet norms.

On Stardate 241305.21, a complaint was logged about the environment on Deck 21, Section 3a, after checking the localised systems, a team was sent to the Master Display, where they found evidence of damage to the coupling that had been repaired on 05.15.

We proceeded to repair the system again and this time have liaised with Security to place a monitoring system on both the coupling itself and the housing, it is my belief that the damage being caused is not accidental or caused by wear and tear, as this should have ceased when we repaired the system the first time, I therefore recommend that you advise the command team on this situation and monitor it's development closely.

Maintenance Log Complete.

Almar sighed as he placed the padd down on the desk and swung his legs down, moving his chair forward so he could access his computer terminal.

“Computer, open a new private message to Commander Lansine, mark confidential and secure.” he stated before typing the message quickly into the terminal, a few minutes in and he reread it to himself, giving a slight nod as he finished and tapping the send button, leaning back again as he picked up the padd again.

“This could prove to be a problem,” he said to himself as he reread the reports, just what the ship needed on such an important mission, a potential saboteur.
