Mission: Secret Meetings
Location: Tactical Information Center

Nerves caught the normally calm Cardassian as he rounded the corner with one of his smaller toolkits, he was in the centre of what he considered 'Hostile ground' onboard the Vindicator, the Tactical Information Centre, surrounded by Marines and Pilots, all whom had been bred and trained to hate his kind.

Noting the doors as he passed, Almar stepped up to the one he was looking for and tapped the chime, waiting for an answer before he proceeded any further.

"......Elar look at me." Tripae said trying to get the SCO to calm down. "Yeah he's a spoon head but there hasn't been any incidents under his watch so let's hear him out he's gonna have a perspective we can't have."

"Fine......." Elar said in a low growl, "but he doesn't leave our side. Enter!" Elar called out.

"Chief Engineer, Almar Dahe'el, Lieutenant Commander, reporting as requested," Almar said as he moved into the TIC and stopped in front of the two Marines, "I believe you wanted my opinion on something mechanical?"

"I need you to look over some scans......of this wreckage and tell me what you see." Tripae said leading the Cardassian over to the pool table.

"Ah yes, the wreckage," Almar replied as he moved over to look at the scans, "Was there something specific you wanted me to look at? or just the wreckage in general?"

"This in particular." She said pointing at the readings from the scans that Elar did, "there should be explosive residue all over the place but we found nothing and yet this runabout exploded."

"Interesting," Almar replied as he looked over the information and confirmed the scans, "There are a few things that could cause the runabout to explode without leaving explosive residue," the Cardassian replied with a slight frown, "Have we got any scans of the incident as it happened? Were we able to recover any of the data from the runabout itself?"

"Here are the scans that we've just prior to the explosion but we were not able to recover anything from the runabout." Tripae said.

"Do we have access to the wreckage? I want to run some intensive scans, something on here just doesn't make sense," Almar replied as he ran through the scans again and pointed out some of the scans, "Here, just before the explosion, we registered a slight decompression in the aft section."

"Only by auxiliary vehicles......and don't take this the wrong way but I don't trust to be in one of our auxiliary vehicles." Elar said glaring at the spoon head.

"Marine Captain!" Lione said sharply, "my apologies commander. I'll speak with the captain and see if we can get you out there?"

"You do not trust me to be in a shuttle or workerbee Captain?" Almar asked with a slight frown, "You do realise that I am the Chief Engineer, I have more authority over those craft than you do." he finished before turning to Lione, "It might be best if we arrange to bring the wreckage into one of the shuttlebays, after the necessary scans, of course."

Triple nodded, "I'll speak with the CO about this and I'll get back to you." She said glaring at Elar.

"Thank you Captain," Almar replied as he gave a small nod to the Marine, "If you need me further, I'll be in engineering reviewing the data we have available." he added as he turned on his heels and made his way towards the door.
