Mission: Agua Mala

Preparing to go down to this inquisitive planet Jon was just remembering protocol for such an event. He was pacing up and down the deck waiting for his time in a shuttle but being in security he was very cautious of going anywhere but the ideal of getting off ship for even 4 hours just sounds good to him. In the meantime though he wanted to find the Commodore to bounce ideas off her for a new procedure to resubmitted the crew back onto the ship after shore leave, since this is a new world and Starfleet still has not the information for proper procedures for a N class planet of this magnitude.

Jon was still amazed at the size of this vessel, he had a fun time finding where everything is. As Jon made his way to the observation lounge he saw the Commodore. as he walked up to her:
“Ma’am Lieutenant Phoenix Request permission to speak to you at your convenience!” as Jon stood as erected as he could.

Caught mid-bite of the banana nut muffin she'd managed to grab for lunch, Rochelle quickly waved the Lieutenant down, "At ease, Lieutenant Phoenix." She managed to breathe having choked the mouthful down to be able to talk. "Walk with me as we speak." The young redhead added as she set off in the direction she'd been initially heading in. People were flustered. The ship was buzzing with no small sense of uncertainty, and she herself was feeling the bubbling sensation of anxiety deep in the pit of her gut. Empathy, she decided, was a horrible thing in many cases. The jitters of her crew when faced with a society such as the Stenellis people should never have been allowed to sink beneath her skin, and yet there she was working to attempt to placate her flipflopping stomach as it threatened her with a proverbial shaking fist. The normally unflappable woman, while not displaying any additional symptoms of anxiety, had decided that this recent case of... Whatever it was... Was likely due in part to the fact that with the knowledge of her father's true identity came a bigger need to succeed... Or something like that. She eyed the muffin in her hand curiously before tossing the rest of it in a receptacle as they passed by. Anxiety... Yeah... She'd stick with that logical conclusion.

“Well Ma’am I was wondering if we could make a make shift security check point in the shuttle bay and transporter rooms for when the crew reconvenes on the ship, also I feel like it would be wise if had a roving security detail on the surface at our LZ so that we will not be bringing back anything that is not sanctioned by Starfleet. “ Jon knew that in the past there had been unwanted things that had come aboard other ships from these N class planet types, but he was trying to make a good impression on the Commodore and he didn’t want to seem to demanding or too over bearing… Too late? Jon was just a little worried about the new friends of the Federation and did not want to be caught with his pants down so to speak.

Casting a careful glance over at the eager Lieutenant, Rochelle couldn't help but smile. It was a wry little expression, one that heavily disguised the question of whether or not she'd been the same way back in the days of just starting out and trying to impress the 'big wigs'. It would be one she'd need to ask Andrea sooner rather than later. "I'd prefer security be alert, but not actively patrolling while on Apsha, Lieutenant," She replied with the lightest of chuckles, "We're there as guests to the royal family and they're offering our crew a chance to unwind while diplomatic talks take place. Running military operations would only raise tensions so the idea is for security to be alert but discreet. As far as aboard this ship..." Her voice trailed off as she nodded a greeting to a passing officer, "Security is to do exactly as you suggested and see to it that nothing comes aboard that shouldn't be aboard. However... I don't doubt that our new 'friends'," The spirited woman lifted her hands and used the index and middle fingers on both to create air quotes around the emphasized word, "will want a tour of Starfleet's largest and most technologically advanced vessel. Be prepared for that if and when that time comes. We can't jeopardize this relationship, we won't survive another war so soon after this last cluster of an engagement."

Jon just nodded and "yes Ma'mm I'll make the proper arranges for that little visit. Is there any chance That they will be having lunch aboard? I am asking because we do have some barium in which we could place on them or in them to trace there whereabouts if they tend to...walk away from our tour guide.

The little Phoenix's footfalls faltered for the briefest of seconds when his inquiry and subsequent request hit her ears. "Whether they wander away or not is of little importance or concern," She replied with a smal grin and peered at him from the corner of her eye, "our internal sensors should be able to sense any stragglers or stowaways. However," Rochelle's voices trailed off only long enough to acknowledge another officer that held a PADD in their outstretched hand, waiting for her attention. "it would be in your best interest to speak with Lieutenant Charlson and come up with a chaperoning plan that won't come across as offensive to our delegates. Keep in mind that the Enterprise has been playing host to their Princess for the last few months without any issue. Now... If you'll excuse me, I need to prepare to head down to the surface."

With his instruction Jon did as he was asked and proceeded to carry out his orders.
