297 words; about a 1 minute read

Mission: Romulan Ale.. I mean Aide
Location: Engineering
Timeline: Back Log

(OOC: Sorry this is a short log and probably should be a back log because I honestly don't know when Red alert started or if it's still going so I'm just going to mark this as a back log and try to catch up now that I'm on Spring break)

~*~ Main Engineering ~*~

Alright, a normal duty shift in engineering was fine she'd do that anytime stuck behind a desk. However, at Red Alert, no Jennifer Waters would rather the Chief be at his desk, she didn't know where he was at present, but she knew where she was and she didn't like being the one in charge at red alert. there were too many variables to the equation of what she should and shouldn't do then. First thing's first though she had to make sure that they kept the core's going and power to the ship. She'd already sent some engineers to keep an eye on life support and Lieutenant Vincent West was on the bridge in case she needed to know something. but where was the chief? why wasn't he here yet? was Jenny worrying over nothing? probably he would be here soon right.

She moved to the core to check it herself red alerts always made her antsy and the first thing she normally grabbed was her emergency phasor that she kept at her normal engineering station and strapped it to her belt. then she reached for her engineering tricorder, giving the Core a once over. 'So far so good. damage teams were ready, engineering was ready right? Jenny tapped her com-badge.

"Lt. Waters to Lt. Cmdr Almar Dahe'el Um, Sir do you plan to be in Engineering for the red alert or on the bridge?"
