Secret Meetings
Location: Sickbay

Doctor Mackenzie Cannon was free for a bit as there was very little work for her to do. She noticed that a person who her senior had had a row with was not being seen. Rofer must have her reasons. Mackenzie decided to look past it unless she was asked otherwise and continued with sitting down for a moment.
Keira was starting to grow impatient with how long it was taking the doctors to check over their prisoner but she couldn't actually use that word apparently it was too harsh for these StarFleet people, "hey where's the doc....I need to get this women to lockup."
"To be perfectly honest: I'm not sure. I'm the new ACMO if you need any help?" the young woman offered politely.
"I need this women examined so I can get her to lockup." Keira said getting more annoyed the longer she was in this blasted sickbay.
"I know I'm new here, but don't get so snappy with me or I will make you wait longer," Mackenzie walked over to the woman and looked her over, muttering to herself the visable injuries. Just to double check she scanned her with her tricorder.
Pfft......"Nice try doc but I don't think you would seeing as that goes against everything you and I stand for." Keira said with small chuckle, "but keep telling yourself you've the upper hand here."
Mackenzie looked up and raised an eyebrow, "Listen to me carefully. You don't know me. I don't know you. This woman has survived this long without medical attention... I think she could survive another few hours if you keep up your appauling attitude. I'm not like most doctors. Don't push me." By this time Mackenzie's face was quite close to Kiera's.
Kiera smirked enjoying seeing that not all naval officers just didn't back down or agree with everything told to them. And she also now had leverage over the women if she so chose to use it, "fine doc you win this one." Keira said stepping back but keeping that smirk on her face.
"You know that smirking like that too much will cause your face to age prematurely right?" The doctor turned away and started to treat the poor woman.
"Honey being a Marine causes premature aging." Keira said letting the smirk go and allowing a vibro-scapel slide down into her palm ready to use if the prisoner decided to act out.
Cannon didn't even have to turn around to know what the marine had done, "And you can put that down. You aren't a medical practisioner and nor will this woman do anything because of the drugs in her system, she'll be out cold for at least another 2 hours."
Keira knew if she held onto the scalpel she would have hell to pay and most likely be in the cell right next to this women. Setting the scalpel down, "you better be right."
"Anyone with brains could tell you what I've just told you," looking up from her work Cannon grinned, "I apologise if you don't have one."
The only Keira wanted to do with this women was snap her neck but she restrained herself and just imagined it. Deciding to take the higher road and just get this bloody assignment over.
"I like the fact that angered you. What did this woman do to get your short temper going?" the doctor stood up straight, folding her arms across her chest and smiling as if she was winning a battle.
"Not at liberty to discuss that. And by the way that's a order from the captain and my superior." Keira said deciding to allow the doc to think she's winning this little battle.
"Bull," Doctor Cannon wasn't too impressed, "From my past experience, marines don't tend to give a monkey's when it comes to protocol, only to what satisfies them." She looked back to the patient then back to the marine, "At a guess, I'd say it was more a case of that ancient sport- fox hunting. It's a cruel sport, but enjoyable. It's the fun in the chase and the kill." The doctor's eyes seemed wild and yet understanding as if it would be something she'd do herself.
"You must not know Marines well we actually follow orders instead of questioning them and than only after getting a satisfied answer of why you're getting this order do you actually do something and most of those times your actions to bloody late." Keira said.
Cannon gave a yeah right expression before returning to work on the patient.
Keira just shook her head but didn't say anything.
"Luckily, none of these injuries are life threatening, just a few broken ribs and the obvious," gesturing to the scrapes and bruises. With a sigh Cannon picked up a dermal regenorator, "You can go back to being brutal once she's been given time to recover from the trauma. You're lucky she didn't have any internal bleeding from the ribs, or even brain damage from the trauma to her head."
Shaking her head Zhara ushered for Brad to enter to help wheel the Marine to the brig where Ellis would once again try and speak with her.
