Location: Marine Barracks

Ellis was sitting in his office when a priority message came through. They were orders for all but 3rd platoon to back up and be ready to transfer to a Marine transport. Ellis shook his head slightly seeing who was taking charge of the detachment. Jasmine wasn't a freshly minted officer but she was still green. But with how things have been recently between him and the ships command maybe this was a good thing.

"King to Garza my office and bring sergeant Ives with you." Ellis said noting the platoon sergeant was also getting a promotion. Seeing this gave Ellis some hope the women was tough, scary and an incredible shot. And the fact of the matter everyone who was serving in what was his 3rd platoon all had CQB (close quarter combat) and they were all extremely good at it.

Jasmine was in her bunk a small room at the end of the larger open area where the rest of 3rd platoons bunks and common area was. Hearing the summons Jasmine slid off of her bunk, "Ives King wants to see us." Jasmine said gruffly pissed that she was left off of the away mission. Jien was cleaning in her OSOG a sniper variant of the Mk I carbine. She just stood and followed her commander out of the bunk.

"Captain you wanted to see us?" Jasmine said taking a seat Jien decided to remain standing in a at ease looking like Jennsi's bodyguard.

"So Marine HQ seems that a full company on the Vindicator is overkill so they're transferring off all but 3rd platoon." Ellis said allowing that sink in before he continued. "3rd platoon is gonna be changed into the 51st detachment leaving you in-charge el-tee with staff sergeant Ives here as your detachment sergeant. Which also means the sergeant here is out of uniform." King said sliding a black velvet box over to her, "congrats gunny." Ellis said with a smirk.

Jien picked up the box and looked at it, "thank you sir." She said respectfully as she pinned the new rank on her collar. Ellis continued to smirk and shake his head seeing as he still couldn't read the women.

"What about Colbert?" Jasmine asked knowing the King and Colbert have had served together for awhile now. And knowing that Alpha company was moving he probably made sure Brad was staying with him.

"He'll be coming with me." Ellis said seeing the gratefulness in her eyes, "I know how tough it is to break in a new sergeant so think of this as my parting gift for you el-tee." He said standing up, "the office is all yours." He said smiling knowing that he had left her one more gift his personal Mk I carbine. "And good luck Jasmine." Ellis said giving a genuine smile as he left.

A stunned Jasmine stared at the door, "is this really happening I have my own command?" She asked now looking at the empty chair.

"It does and it also means King is gone." Jien said putting her fingers under Jasmine's chin and lifting it up and giving her a simple kiss, "now we don't have to worry about that man finding out about us." Jasmine smiled and nodded as she pulled her in for a more intimate kiss.
