"Thanks," Henry said as he took the shot glass. He was impressed by bartender's joviality and skill in knowing exactly what he wanted. A lot of times he'd had the misfortune of asking for something and then getting a blank stare back. He had somewhat exotic tastes when it came to drinks, but luckily Orion rum wasn't completely unheard of. In fact, the green kind had become rather popular lately, he'd noticed.

Turning to the man who greeted him, Henry replied, "Good evening. What brings you to the bar tonight?"

"Figuring out what my next move should be for my career?" Rael said lifting his glass to take another sip of his drink. "You?"

"My first time here," Henry explained. "I'm a new transfer." Almost forgetting his manners, he offered his hand and introduced himself properly. "Lieutenant Henry Novak, Flight Control Officer."

"Sergeant Rael Rayya, 51st Marine Recon Unit's sergeant at arms, but not sure how much longer that title well be accurate." Rael said nodding for another drink.

"A pleasure to meet you, Sergeant Rayya," Henry said. "I usually find career changes difficult to decide on, unless it's been a long time coming. The current political climate isn't making things easier either."

"There you go", The Bartender said, placing the Vodka Lime Cocktail in front of Rael, listening as the two men talked.

"That's very true, luckily I have my naval NCO creds in science, so if the CT and my CO agree I'll be become a science mate fairly soon." Rael said picking up his new drink, "flight control, so your gonna be the man behind the wheel of this boat, so to speak."

"Science, that's an interesting shift," Henry said. "And yeah, once I get some more experience. I've been testing her out in the holodeck, but it's of course not the same thing. She's a massive ship and I'm used to flying a light cruiser. Evasive maneuvers are going to be tricky."

"Science just came naturally for me, just like dealing with the Marine equipment and weapons." Rael said sipping on his drink, "is this first time piloting a ship, or at least a ship this size?"

Henry nodded. "I served on the USS Brimir as conn officer for two years, then transferred here. She's a Steamrunner class vessel, so much smaller than the Vindicator."

Rael chuckles, "yes the Steamrunner is much smaller." Rael said as he sipped on his drink.

On the other side of the Lounge Norbert stood still, a smile widening on his face as the numbers he had been crunching on his computer finally added up to the answer he was looking for. "Perfect", he said aloud, looking back towards the only two customers in the lounge he began walking towards them.

"Time to leave", he said with a smile as he neared within a few paces. "As of this moment the Lounge is being closed for the next 2 hours for further renovations", he grabbed Raels drink from in front of him and poured it into the sink then reached for Henry's to do the same.

Sally, polishing a nearby table and thinking of cecil and what it would be like to spend time on the Bridge, looked up in surprise in time to see Mr. Bernard draining Henrys glass.

Rael just shook his head in disbelief, "May want to re-read what customer service is." Rael said slamming the barstool against the bar as he stormed off.

Henry was still trying to figure out why his drink wasn't in his hand anymore when Rael stormed off. As he rest of the lounge cleared out quickly, he decided it was best to do the same and beat a hasty retreat for the exit.

Norbert watched as the two men left the lounge and then immediately turned towards Sally and David. "We have much work to do, so lets get started."
