Location: Deck 18 - Security Offices

Lily Charlson was one of the newer Officers aboard the Vindicator, so she knew she had to go and report to her Department head, she was scared, worried, not sure what to expect. As she walked towards Commander Vlimar PontBrillant's office on deck 18, she was unsuprised to see 2 security guards outside the office. As she approached one of them stepped fowards. "Lily Charlson, reporting to the Commander as ordered." She said, as she put her palm onto the handprint recognition system. "You can go through." Said one of the security officers, as he buzzed her through to the Commanders office. She stepped through and saw the Commander at his desk. She stepped foward and waited for him to say something.

Vlimar had been going through investigative reports from his different investigators. As he took over the department a short time ago, he kept increasing training on investigative reporting, in order to establish a proper standard. As such, he was reviewing random reports to ensure quality & continuity. As he heard the door open, expecting one of his investigator with some sort of a request, he ignored the person for a brief moment, finishing reading on his padd, both his feet on the desk, a steaming cup of tea on his right.

After finishing the report, he slowly raised his eyes and observed the person in front of him. "Hello.", he stated, slowly removing putting the PADD down, removing his feet from his desk. "May I help you?", he asked, formally.

"Ensign Lily Charlson reporting for duty sir, I came aboard a few days ago, and thought i'd come and introdue myself to my Department head." She said as the Commander took his feet off the desk.

Vlimar stood on his feet, extending his hand. "Oh yes, Ensign Charlson.", he stated. "Nice to finally meet you. I was wondering when you would come and report for duty.", he stated, smiling.

Lily extended her hand and gave it a nervous shake. "I hope it's not to late sir, I was busy trying to familiarize myself with the ship; it's the first large ship i've served on, as i've only served as a security escort on small shuttles and runabouts. It's very easy to get lost, it's happened more than once when I was trying to find my way here." She said, blushing, embarrassed.

Vlimar smiled and nodded. Shaking her hand firmly, he stated "I could have used your services yesterday, but overall, we haven't been too busy. Report to Lieutenant Ebonheart at 1900 hrs for your introductory session."

"You could have just called me Commander, i'm always ready to get into the thick of it, but I will report to the Lieutenant. Thank you for your time!" Nodded Lily as she saluted, then turned on her heels and headed for the door.

Vlimar followed Lily's exit with his eyes, finding her remark quite useless. It was unorthodox to call someone in prior to them reporting to their Department Head. He shrugged and picked up the PADD on his desk and his cup of coffee and resumed his supervision.
