~*~ Start Joint Log ~*~

Chloe was in the security offices going over paperwork trying to help plan the schedules for Commander PontBrillant's approval for the next few shifts. She was also trying to get a couple of training simulations approved as well to help get the security department prepared for any thing that might come to pass in the next mission.

Lily walked down the corridor towards the security office, to meet with Lieutenant Ebonheart, as per her orders from Commander PontBrillant. As she walked toward the office door, she noticed that again there were two security officers standing outside, as a watch. "Ensign Lily Charlson reporting as ordered to Lieutenant Ebonheart!" She said as she placed her hand on the handprint recognition system. As her handprint was accepted, one of the security officers opened the door and let her through. "Ensign Lily Charlson reporting as ordered Lieutenant!"

Chloe looked up hearing the Lieutenant reporting in. "I am Lieutenant Ebonheart, relax ensign." She said her tail flicking slightly as she motioned the other officer forward.

Lily stood at ease and moved towards the Lieutenant's desk as she motioned her forward. "Thank you Lieutenant, I'm just here to to find out when you'd like me to report for my first duty shift."

"Are you settled into your quarters yet?" Chloe asked arching one white brow at the other officer. "Would you like something to drink?"

"A drink would be lovely, Tea, White if you could. And yes thank you, I've settled into my quarters fine thank you for asking!" Lily remarked as she took a seat at the Lieutenants desk.

Chloe moved to replicate one sweet tea with lemon and one white tea for Charlson. Setting the glass of tea before the other officer the feline turned her violet eyes on the woman, "In that case wouldn't you be reporting in for your first duty shift now?" She asked with a natural soft purr that rolled her words slightly. watching the other woman.

Lily realized she had been a bit silly, of course she was reporting for her duty shift now. "Yes, of course I am, sorry, I'm confusing myself, mind you that's not hard!" She giggled as she took a sip from her tea. "I'm ready for my orders Lieutenant!" She said as she drank half of the cup of tea.

Chloe smiled pushing a lock of long blond white hair over her shoulder. "Its quite alright, I've been on this ship for a while and I still get lost myself." She had a twinkle of mischief in her eyes. "For now your orders are simply to drink your tea and sit with me for a while. Is that alright with you?" She asked. not in a rush to send someone head first into her shift without at least getting to know her first.

Lauren smiled at that comment and made a small laugh, she was happy that her Lieutenant was casual and quite laid back, she liked that about some officers. "I'd be more than happy to sit with you for a while Lieutenant, I'm actually a bit nervous about starting my duties!" Lily said as she took another drink from her cup, downing the remains of her tea, she had a bad craving for hot drinks at the moment for some reason!

"Understandable." Chloe said softly remembering her first assignment on the USS Atlantia and how nervous she had been when she started. "Tell me a bit about yourself Lily is it?" Chloe asked.

"That's correct, yes, urm well I originally came from Scotland, then I moved to Starfleet academy when I was 16, to study medicine and how to act as security, I had a few jobs as a bodyguard before I graduated from Starfleet academy. And that's how I ended up here really." Explained Lily as she walked to the replicator to get herself another drink, this time a black coffee with a little bit of whiskey added to it. As she walked back to her seat she wondered what it'd be like to be the head of security aboard a starship.

"I do hope that is synthahol because even I frown at officers drinking while on duty and technically you are on duty since your in the process of reporting in." Chloe said having listened to her order the black coffee with a little bit of whiskey in it arching one blond brow at the young woman.

Lily glanced up from her drink. "Yes it's synthanol, just the same kick, without the alcoholic preferences! Anyway, I only like synthanol." She remarked towards her lieutenant.

Chloe gave a nod of approval. "So if you want you can start by patrolling decks." Chloe said handing Lily a padd with the decks she'll be patrolling.

Lily nodded "That sounds like a good idea, helps me to get to know the layout of the ship, while still having me working." She said as she took the Padd from the Lieutenant. "Thank you!"

Chloe gave a nod. "Go on get out of here." Chloe smirked she didn't think there would be any problems with this officer.
