Mission: A Spot To Kill
Location: Gym

Rocky comes into the gym wearing a outfit comprised of a sleeveless grey shirt with a tiger on the front of it and a pair of baggy black pants with white stripes coming from the hips to just below her knees. Her brown hair is pulled back in a ponytail and her hazel eyes sweep the room, checking out who's present.

Lily had been working out on the weights when she'd heard the gym door open. She looked up at the girl who'd just walked in, she hadn't met her before. Lily had her hair down around her shoulders, with a blue sweat top, black sweat pants, and a brown sweatband around her wrist. She put down the weight she'd just been lifting, before wiping her face with the towel she'd brought, and taking a swig from her sports bottle.

Seeing the other woman, Rocky nodded to her and went to examine the equipment. "Hey," she said, offering a smile. "I hope I'm not interrupting."

"Not at all, as long as you don't mind the smell too much, it gets a bit lonely in here sometimes, on your own!" Lily said, putting her bottle down and taking her earphones out of her ears.

Going over to a weight machine, Rocky put one hundred and fifty pounds on it and sat down. "If a gym smelled like orchids, I'd suspect it was never used. I'm the new Intel Encryption Specialist, Catalina Barnes, but I usually go by Rocky."

"Nice to meet you, I'm one of the Security Officers here, Lily Charlson, I don't really have a nickname, but sometimes I get called you, or even Oi, come here...depends on the persons mood really!" Lily said with a laugh.

"Have you been on Vindicator long?" Rocky asked as she began to work out, her breath coming in even rhythms as she paced herself.

"A few months now, not to long, but long enough to know most of the crew." Lily said, stepping onto the treadmill and setting it to a swift jog, with an incline of 1 degree. Enough to get her heart racing, but not so much as to make her out of breath. "What about you, how long have you been onboard?" Lily asked.

"Since just before we left Earth," Rocky said as she worked the weights. "Fresh out of the Academy and ready for action."

"I'm sure we'll be seeing some before to long...." Lily said, increasing the speed to a run.

"Have you heard anything about the mission?" Rocky ask as she continued to work out on the weight machine.

"Nothing, except that we're going to a planet where they think the Commodore is their queen...could turn ugly, but I hope not!" Lily said, alternating the speed of the treadmill between a run and a jog.

Rocky shook her. "Question...how long does it take before higher ups start telling us things? I get that I'm only an Ensign and new, but you know...I thought it was all about teamwork and briefings and such."

"They'll tell us when we get closer to the day, they have all the briefings and plans and all that to sort out as well remember, so they may not even know themselves at the moment!" Lily said, trying to defend some of the higher ups.

"I guess. I don't know what I was expecting after my shake down, but this isn't what I thought it would be like serving on an actual ship," Rocky said as she finished her set and got up.

"You'll get used to it, trust me! If I ever become a DH, I'll be sure you're the first to know after me!" Lily said with a wink.

"Pffft," Rocky said as she grabbed a towel. "Try Admiral."

"Here's hoping!" Lily said, making her way towards the door.

Heading to finish her said, Rocky could only hope that things would get better.
