| Personal History | Henry Novak hails from the Federation colony of Delta Aquilae IV. He has one sister, Julia, who is two years younger than him. His parents, Adriana Thorne and Meridian Novak, are both career Starfleet officers. Henry and his sister often spent many months at a time living with their grandmother while their parents were away on assignments. She would tell them stories about where their parents went and their lives as Starfleet officers. This sparked an early interest in space exploration for both children. After finishing his education, Henry left Delta Aquilae IV at age eighteen to serve on a Risian luxury cruise liner for two years. At age twenty, he took the entrance exam for Starfleet Academy. While he enjoyed courses such as Astrogation and Tactics, he was less inclined to study for others which held less interest such as Warp Theory, almost causing him to fail his first year at the Academy. Following his graduation, he was assigned to the USS Brimir as relief conn officer before requesting a posting to a deep space exploration vessel. |
