Mission:
Romulan Ale.. I mean Aide
Location: USS Kennedy
In all his years Dar had never actually set foot on an Intrepid class ship. So when he beamed over to see Captain Heifner he found himself looking around like he was on some tour. He did like this design but some of the age in the design was showing. The he had to remind himself that he had perhaps the newest ship in the fleet.
The ship XO met and escorted him to the sick bay where Heifner was kept.
"Here we are Captain," Commander Isenhart said as the two men arrived outside Sickbay on Deck 5. "The doctor has informed me she is awake and ready for you, but if it's not too much to ask, sir--please don't rile her up too much." George after all had to accompany the woman captain all the way back to Earth. The better mood she was in when they left the better mood he'd be in.
"I'll do my best, Commander." he nodded to the man and then entered.
Heifner was sitting up on a biobed on the right side of the room as Dar entered. While many of the bruises and lacerations she'd endured on the Tal'Shair warbird had been healed with the help of a dermal regenerator, some of the deeper contusions to her face were still visible. She looked like hell, and she knew it.
"Captain Dar. To what do I owe the pleasure?" Her words were welcoming, but hinted a pinch of sarcasm. Dar after all was somewhat responsible for her and her ship's current condition.
"I came to see how you were doing. Feeling better?" he asked as he had a quick glance over her visible injuries. His stance was however not entirely casual. This was the Captain that fired on his ship after all.
"Not at all," she scoffed, "but that's not why you're here, is it?" He undoubtedly wanted to talk about Lansine and her actions firing on his ship. Understandable, but she was under orders to apprehend his Executive Officer. If it took a few phaser bursts to get Lansine's attention so be it.
"No, not entirely." he tucked his hands behind his back, "We'll be heading back to Earth after all for other reasons but Commander Lansine will be reporting to Starfleet Security now that our situation here has been resolved."
Kayleigh scowled slightly, "That I know, Mr. Dar. I'm glad you two have chosen to cooperate."
Olan narrowed his eyes slightly at having the earned rank suddenly dropped as if they were familiar friends, "Make no mistake, Captain. You fired on my vessel, a fellow Federation starship, without due cause. Regardless of your orders that is an unprovoked attack on a friendly. Commander Lansine was going no where. His first duty is to the ship and to me and he was in command. He would no sooner abandon his post at that time than I would if I had people on the ground that needed help." he paused, "Or you would, I hope."
"I wish your ship a safe journey home." he finished and turned to leave without waiting for any further comment from her.
Dar passes Commander Isenhart an gives him a quick respectful nod, "Thank you, Commander. I'll be on my way."
