Mission: Secret Meetings
Location: Main Engineering, USS Vindicator

Despite being out of the battle, Engineering was still swimming with crew, rushing about and trying to keep the ship from falling apart, in the centre, Lieutenant Commander Dahe'el and two other engineers were rapidly adjusting the settings for the inertial damperners, structural integrity and the slipstream core, attempting to balance the first two while the third was active.

"Chief, adjust the structural integrity by .05%, we need to compensate for the hull breaches," the Cardassian Chief Engineer stated as his hands flew across the console, making a couple of adjustments to the slipstream program he was running, "Ensign Falco, dump additional power into the inertial dampeners on decks seven through twelve, I'm showing them being slightly underpowered."

Falco replied with a nod and made the changes, a worried smile crossing his face, "Sir, I'm showing a significant power drain on deck twenty four, reports show a plasma conduit blew during the battle, it was supposed to have been repaired by Petty Officer Kordal's team." the young Human replied as she bought up the power grid on the display, "They reported a confirmed repair, it must have weakened again when we jumped to slipstream."

"SIF in that section shows weakened too Boss," the Chief Petty Officer to his right confirmed, "I suggest we send another two teams in, if we can't at least stabilize the structural integrity, we risk losing the ship."

"Agreed." Almar replied as he made another couple of adjustments, "Who do we have available?"

"Teams two and six have just reported finishing their current repairs, they should be able to handle it, team Six is equipped for plasma fires." the Enlisted officer replied as he bought up the team load-outs on the screen.

The Cardassian nodded and reached up to tap his comm-badge, "Damage control teams Two and Six, this is Main Engineering, we're showing a disabled plasma conduit on Deck twenty four, section Nine, Forward Four, we need it repaired as soon as possible."

"This is Lieutenant Vincent West for Damage team Two, Lieutenant Zara Collingswood and I will get our teams on that right away Commander." came a response over the line.

"You heard the Chief we're headed for Deck 24." Zara said to the teams after Vincent finished confirming the two teams were already on the move before the team leaders had finished talking.

"Good man Lieutenant West, inform me when the repairs are completed," Almar replied as he turned his attention back to balancing the injector assembly and the slipstream core.

"Aye Commander." Vincent said as the lift came to a stop at their destination. "Ensign Doyle, let's get this plasma fire under control then we can work on stabilizing the area."

“All senior staff report to the briefing room in one hour.” came the voice of the Captain over the comm, causing Almar to curse slightly under his voice.

"Lieutenant Colt, take over," the Cardassian shouted with a wave towards one of the specialists, "Keep everything balanced, I have a report to prepare." he added as he moved over towards his office.
