Mission: Are You Touched?

Kevin smiled as he watched Saia rest from their activities. He had convinced her to go planetside while they were there. She seemed to be getting better.

Until the news came that civilians were allowed back on the ship. Now no one could convince her to go anywhere civilians were allowed. She stopped eating in the messhall, and she seemed to walk much faster down the corridors and feigned forgetting a PADD when one was on a turbolift. Even females. Children accompanied by officers didn't seem to bother her, but she seemed to always be wary of a mama bear coming to defend her baby bear.

Somewhere in all her ordeal and bottling it up, she had formed a sort of prejudice on civilians. Kevin managed to seduce her the night before their trip to the surface in case the freedom she found would be lost by him pushing her to go to a place crowded with civilians. He decided it was worth the risk and promised her that he would never leave her side.

When she stirred, a gentle stretch and a cute yawn, he smiled wider. She stopped startling awake. She gave him a sour look, "What did I say about doing that?"

He smirked, "Well, at least your annoyed rather than flashing back."

She muttered, "Oh, there's still that too..." She shifted out of the bed.

He frowned, "Right... Sorry. So... you remember today is planet day, right?" He had to raise his voice as she walked into the bathroom.

"Of course, and you make it sound like a holiday." She called back as she went about her business of hygiene.

"Well, to some holiday does mean no work." He smirked well aware of what she meant, but feeling like being a smart ass at the moment.

He couldn't see her roll her eyes, but she called back, "As in Human Christmas..." She stopped deciding that brushing her teeth was more important than falling into one of Kevin's smart ass traps.

Kevin then heard the sound of the water. He grinned and tiptoed into the bathroom. But he frowned realizing it was locked. He couldn't expect her to be 100% better, but it was frustrating to have made such a breakthrough as to being able to make love to her, but still be locked out in many ways. Literally and figuratively. "Saia. Can I come in?"

He heard her call back, "You could have gone during the time you were watching me."

"No." He chuckled, "Just let me in."

"Why?"

"You turned the water shower on."

"Just wanted to test it."

"Let's test it together." He smirked and then waited for the answer. The smirk faded as the silence grew from seconds into a minute or two, "Saia?"
