~*~ Start Joint Log ~*~

Having relieved the Security officer that Chloe had assigned to watch Mikkal since she couldn't do so 24/7. Now she was standing around the corner from his quarters watching them knowing he hasn't left them yet. She was still confused as to the feelings raging through her wondering about them. She needed to go to the holodeck that's what she needed, but it would have to wait.

Mikkal was in his quarters, sitting in one of his chair, thinking. Thinking about his next move. How to accomplish his objectives, even though the security measures on him were quite cumbersome. He had enough success to contact the outside world, but did not want to abuse of the ability, afraid that someone at the ship might figure him out. After sending his message to Qapla', he decided to go for a walk, a reconnaissance walk. He slowly exited his quarters, looking for a trail.

Robyn was on the point of giving up a fruitless search for her fellow medical officer.
She could ofcourse simply asked the computer to pinpoint him but had decided at the outset not to do that.
She was feeling partly frustrated and partly worried as she walked briskly along the corridor heading back to her own quarters.
Turning a corner rather too quickly to be sensible she gasped, tried to stop, failed and did a neat hop over a slender piece of white fur twitching slightly at its end.

Chloe turned having felt her tail nearly trampled and noticed that she had nearly tripped someone. "I'm sorry are you alright?" She asked surprised that her tail was still getting in the way. she had seriously thought she'd wrapped her tail around her leg just to keep it from being noticed.

"Yes fine." Robyn replied. " Its my fault, I should have been more careful on a corner...just didn't expect someone to be...." she trailed off, thinking that her excuse was placing the blame onto the victim.
"Are you sure I didn't step on you?" she asked looking at the tail end.

Chloe lift her tail so she could get a closer look at it. "Nope right as rain." She said her words rolling with a natural purr. "if you don't mind my asking, what had you in such a rush that you weren't able to see my tail?" She asked softly smiling at the other woman before looking towards the door she was staking out.

"Just thinking of something instead of looking where I was going." Robyn replied returning a smile. She too looked along the corridor which held no sign of life apart from themselves.

"Umm...may I ask why you are standing right on the corner?" she asked. " I mean..obviously you're security but..." she raised a hand and pointed vaguely along the silent corridor that showed absolutely nothing of interest.

"I know it looks as if I'm standing in an empty corridor without a sole around but you and I. Well your right, but I'm waiting for someone. I think in old earth terms it's called a stake out only I'm standing rather than sitting in an earth vehicle called a Car." Chloe grinned. The feline's eyes moved towards a door a crossed the corridor from where she stood around the corner from sight.

"Oh I see." Robyn replied, "I'd better let you get on then...don't want to draw attention to you if whomever you're looking for suddenly appears?"

"Yes well unfortunately I know he's in there the computer says he's in his quarters, but so far he hasn't come out so I must remain here. it was nice to meet you though, I'm Lieutenant Chloe Ebonheart." She grinned.

"Robyn Maxwell" she replied smiling in return and offering her hand to shake.

At the time the two women were introducing each others, Mikkal slowly exited his quarters, his eyes observing around the exit. He noticed the caitian woman and another woman, smiled on the corner of his mouth and began to walk away, heading towards the Civilian lounge.

Chloe saw him out of the corner of her eye she wasn't completely distracted. "Nice to meet you, follow or continue with what you were doing but my quarry is getting away." She smirked grinning and starting after the elusive man.

Robyn looked at the retreating figure who had exited his room so quietly and at the following figure.
"Bye... nice to meet you too..." she said without possibility of being heard for they had both disappeared around the next corner. By the time she reached it there was no sign of either of them.
{Intriguing} she thought. { I wonder who he is and what he's done}

Chloe had cat ears, so she did hear. She'd have to find that officer again and keep the friendship alive. Chloe continued to follow Mikkal.

Mikkal entered the lounge, knowing he was being followed by Chloe. He slowly approached a table and waved at the server that he was taking it. He sat in his chair and waited to see if Chloe would come in, his position facing directly the entrance.

Mikkal obviously knew that Chloe or other Security officers were following him so this time she didn't play any games she entered and walked right up to the table he was sitting at before sitting down as well even if he didn't invite her to sit. "So you seem to know I'm following you so why kiss me and duck out like that?"

Mikkal smiled at the comment. "Perhaps it was rude of me?", he asked, obviously enjoying the situation.

"Its only rude if I felt something." She was trying to keep her composure. She was not about to let him know that she had felt something complete to her toes that had curled during said kiss. Subconsciously she licked her lips as she looked him in the eyes trying to keep her face emotionless.

Mikkal nodded to her comment. "What should *we* do then?", he asked her.

"Well you can explain why you ducked out on me like that? What are you planning that causes my bosses to be nervous about you and have me on your tail to begin with?" Chloe asked arching one brow at him.

Mikkal raised an eyebrow. "Planning? Oh, my dear, I am not planning anything, nearly being accused of intentions that I do not possess.", he stated, softly. "I am simply anxious to return home...", he added, looking at Chloe's face for a reaction.

A shadow of emotion shifted a crossed her eyes at that thought but she quickly masked them. All he wanted was to go home how could he kiss her then? how could she be stupid enough to think it had meant something. This was why she preferred holodecks. no one lied to you or tried to hurt you on a holodeck.

"Then go home? leave this ship because obviously your planning something and if its to hurt anyone on this ship I will be the one to put you in the brig personally." She said in as calm a voice she could unsure why she felt hurt having only known this man a short time and most of that time she'd spent following him not being near him or talking to him as she was now.

"Again with the planning.", he almost screamed. "I am not planning anything. I am a prisoner here, your Captain is holding me here.", he expressed, showing signs of anger.

"Why would the Captain do that?" She asked hissing at him to keep his voice down. "Maybe we should talk else where?" She asked looking around to make sure no one was watching them.

Mikkal shrugged. "I do not know.", he stated, clearly not interested into moving.

"Well you seem more interested in causing a scene rather than talking to me. "I do not understand why the Captain would do something like that or why my bosses think your planning something and have me tailing you to find out who what when and where.

Mikkal shook his head. "Too many questions, too many suspicions.", he stated, standing up. He moved toward Chloe, grabbed her by the back of the head, kissing her with passion. After a second seconds, enough time to cause a scene inside the lounge, he released her and immediately began walking towards the door.

She was stunned by the kissing but not so stunned that she was going to let him get away with it a second time. She ran after him not caring about the whispers they left behind. "Oh no you don't what the hell do you think your doing kissing me and running off again. so not going to happen a second time." She growled grabbing him by the arm to turn Mikkal to face her.

Mikkal smiled softly. "What are you going to do about it?", he asked, playfully.

Well now they were alone in the corridor no one around. And Chloe was unsure what to do now that they were alone. her hand was still on his arm though she was still face to face with him. She opened her mouth then closed it again frowning as she was actually drawing a blank about it really. "Why do you keep kissing me and running off what does kissing me have to do with anything?" She demanded, other than toying with her emotions and hurting her. why is it that the men she met were constantly hurting her? or why was she stupid enough to keep caring?

Mikkal smiled slightly, putting his hand on her cheek. "You are the one following me, Chloe...", he stated, sweetly.

"I have my orders, but that doesn't mean you kiss and run nor does it explain why you do it." Chloe demanded trying not to feel anything right now. she didn't want him to know he had some kind of power over her not that she completely understood it herself. not really.

Mikkal nodded. "Then, I shall stop. Obviously, my affection is not welcomed on your part.", he stated, mimicking sadness. He turned and began to walk away again.

She glared at him, "Oh give over You barely know me there is no possible way that you could be feeling sad at all." The feline growled following him partly because it was her job and partly because she wanted to know why he kept kissing her dammit.

Mikkal could feel the frustration in Chloe. He continued walking away, back at the caitian, smiling. He was satisfied with putting her into that state, which he felt he was in control. He continued walking towards his quarters.

Chloe fell silent forcing herself to calm down she wouldn't give him power over her not like this. Chloe continued to follow her start to convince herself he was toying with her emotions. Obviously she was just a pawn in his plan. whatever that was.

Mikkal arrived in front of his quarters. The door opened in front of him and he entered, turning around in the entrance, stepping aside. He looked at Chloe and smiled, waving her to come in.

Chloe put her hand on her hips. "Why are you trying to toy with me?" She asked him glaring into his eyes.

Mikkal smiled. "Are you coming in?", he asked.

"Are you going to answer my questions if I do?" Chloe asked him.

Mikkal smiled wide. "Probably not.", he stated.

Chloe glared at him before moving to step inside the Quarters. She could leave at anytime but she wanted answers and wasn't 100% sure he wouldn't give them.

The door shut, making both Mikkal & Chloe disappear from the corridor.
