Mission: All Hallows’

Climbing out of the busted door to his guest quarters, Krogoth had spent forever battling his way through debris filled halls and up to the bridge. The attack had been brutal, catching the Klingon off guard as he set about debating his report to the high council and just wanting to be rid of the entire situation. It wasn't long before he realized his door locks had jammed and had been forced to claw his way out.

The bridge was dark, smoky, filled with the promise of hurt and decay. The red devil and her tree-like first weren't there, their presence immediately missed by the Klingon's beady eyes as they raked over the wreckage that was the bridge. A thin smear of blood across the command chair left him suspicious. "Who holds command?!" He bellowed, resting his hand on the arm of the center seat.

"I do!" Almar bellowed from below the Engineering console at the back of the bridge, despite being left in command, he had taken it upon himself to affect some measure of repairs while he was here, "I'm a little busy here... Krogoth," the Cardassian added as he slid his head out and looked over at the Klingon on the bridge.

Through the setting dust and periodical sparks, the big Klingon spied the Cardassian through narrowed eyes. Far be it from him to judge the Captain for putting such a creature in any position of power, but the man seemed bent on putting the nearly crippled ship back together again. "The Captain... She is dead?" He asked quite seriously, his head tilting as he left the chair to stand closer to the man of the hour.

"Hardly, injured and taken to sickbay," Almar replied as he finished up what he was doing and slid out from under the console, forcing himself to his feet to stand before the Klingon, "Commander Waterhouse has also been called away on something urgent with the survivors we beamed on board,"

"Good. They will fight again." Krogoth nodded to affirm his point and position on the matter. "I took the liberty of calling for assistance back to the station for repairs. Romulans are not welcome aboard Qu'Vat and will need to be removed as quickly as possible."

"The Romulans will remain in our brig until such a time as we can guarantee their safety on a Starfleet processing facility or passage back to Romulus, whichever falls their way as determined by Starfleet Command." the Cardassian replied with a slight smile, "They shall not be released under any circumstances while we are docked."

"I'd rather give them to Jaktor." Krogoth sneered in his own amusement and was about to say something else that was equally as snide when a voice chirped up from behind the Ops console.

"Sir, we have five Klingon Birds of Prey decloaking off our bow!" He announced with a sense of relief emanating from his voice and Krogoth could only chuckle as he turned to face the damaged view screen and nodded at the beautiful sight to be seen.

"As I said. Reinforcements. We'll discuss how your pest problem should be handled, they crossed into Klingon space after all."

"And assaulted a Starfleet vessel, we will deal with them and hand them over to the Empire, should Starfleet Command deem it neccesary." Almar replied with a slight smile as he returned to the centre chair, "Open a channel."

"Indeed." Krogoth couldn't help but chuckle at the Cardassian's attempt at diplomacy. They were such a strong race, and he knew better than to underestimate the big Engineer. The big stag made way for Almar to find a seat in the command throne, watching with avid interest as he sat and hailed the Klingon vessels.

"Aye sir, channel opened." The Ops officer responded.

"Klingon vessels, this is Commander Almar Dahe'el, Krogoth has indicated that he called you here to assist us, we're currently incapable of warp speeds, can your ships handle low warp while using tractor beams?"

The screen flashed to life, albeit with some dead pixels accentuating the picture, with the image of a crusty old Klingon general and his red lit bridge behind him. "Commander, collectively we should be able to tug your brick of a ship back to Qu'Vat. Krogoth reported you came under Romulan fire?" The General's mouth held nothing but a scowl as he spoke, and ignored the damaged Vindicator bridge for sake of making eye contact with her Cardassian Commander.

"Krogoth was correct, we were ambushed by a D'Deridex class ship that somehow managed to disrupt our shield harmonics, they were in turn destroyed by a Valdore Class warship when we had them disabled, to what end, I know not." Almar replied with a nod.

"Ah. We'll deal with survivors later. I take it Captain Ivanova died a warrior's death?" It was the only reason the older Klingon could reason as to why the bridge had been relinquished.

"Captain Ivanova is still alive, but being treated for her injuries," the Cardassian replied with a chuckle at the blunt nature of the Klingon Captain, "She will be back up on her feet as soon as the Vindicator is."

The General nodded, "Good. I like that alternative a bit better. Krogoth will remain aboard until Qu'Vat. If you need further assistance other than the tow, don't hesitate to ask."

"I can't think of anything off the top of my head General, I will pass your offer on to Captain Ivanova, no doubt she will wish to honour you as a guest when she is able," Almar replied as he flashed a look towards Krogoth

"I'm sure, Commander. Qapla'!" The General offered, offering the Cardassian a nod and the crossing of his arm over his chest. Krogoth could only nod in turn, taking his orders directly from the warrior before the channel was cut and the Vindicator shook gently as she was captured by several tractor beams.

"That was rather simple," Almar responded, directing his comment towards Krogoth as he stood from the command chair and back to the console he had been working on, "Engineering, shut down the engines and reroute power to the structural integrity, prepare for warp towing."
