Mission: A Spot To Kill
ATLANTIS PRIME
Casa Cardassian
Almost a week had come and gone with all seeming to go alright. Alright, of course, was a relative term seeing as Logan could sense Rochelle's frustrations mounting as the days ticked on with no real resolution. He'd seen her pacing a corridor, a line of raw silk tangling after her as she went downwards and back, unappreciative of being denied the chance to wear her uniform or jeans. The Atlanteans were flooding her with every source of royal stimuli they could think of, working to desensitize her to their plans and ideals by shocking her system and rewarding her 'good behavior' with periods of being left to her own devices.
What they didn't realize was that they were only serving to add to her anger, driving the normally implosive little Queen to the point of all out explosion. He knew it wouldn't be pretty. The Phoenix, when she rose, was an impressive being capable of ending entire worlds without batting a single eyelash. She didn't feel remorse when she walked as fire instead of a mere mortal human. The Atlanteans had made a vital mistake in assuming she was weak... It wouldn't be their last.
Almar wasn't stupid either, Logan had decided. The man was still a mystery, but from what he'd seen the man was calm, cool, collected, and very much in tune with what it was Rochelle was thinking and feeling. The fact the Cardassian loved the Commodore was plainly written for any who knew where to look and read. The fact he was in love with her, well, that was a different thing entirely, and one that the Kiwi doubted the Engineer had come to realize for himself. Rochelle deserved every happiness that could be afforded to her, plus some, and to the Counselor it didn't appear that Landon could ever give that to her; the whole package, the love, the romance, the unselfish, undying devotion that would gladly die so that she could live on. Of course it was the type of thing that seemed to dwell only in fairytales read to small children in order to fill the heads with sweet dream fodder, but he knew it existed each and every time he looked at his own wife. That same passionate gleam seemed to shine in the Cardassian's dark eyes when he spoke of, looked at, or completed a task for Ivanova.
"Commander?" Logan found his voice from where he chilled on one of the couches in the room, it had become his makeshift bed in lieu of giving the other man the bed. "Can I speak to you candidly about Roch-" The match maker didn't have a chance to finish his question when the sound of shattering wood and the sight of a splintered door jam interrupted the quiet din of their quarters. Shouting came next and the burly Kiwi was quick to his feet. It wouldn't help. The guards swarmed in like ants, their armor rattling and crashing as they attacked, knocking him to his knees and holding his arms behind his back.
"Not the Terran!" a familiar voice boomed, "Do not hurt the Terran!" It was Kyym. She swept in behind the teams and he looked up to see what the chosen target was as soon as he was able. Almar. The scuffling was focused on him and held fast and grounded on his bad leg, Logan felt helpless to do anything. "Hold the Cardassian still!"
"Don't fight them! Almar! Don't fight them! It's a misunderstanding!" Logan roared and tugged against the iron clad sets of hands holding his arms. They refused to budge beyond one of them placing a foot on the center of his back, forcing him further down much to the chagrin of his leg and shoulders.
Kyym shifted her attention to the human man, kneeling in obvious comfort and lack of fear. She knew the big Cardassian bull was no match for the men she'd brought. "No. No mistake. He's to be tried for the crimes his people committed against our people." She smiled that sick, polite, smile of a true sociopath.
"But he's not-"
"A Cardassian?" The blonde interrupted, looking over her shoulder, "Yes. He is. It doesn't matter what clothes he wears or what allegiance he's claimed to have taken, he's a Cardassian. He's guilty and he's a danger to our Queen."
"Danger?!" Logan laughed and shook his head, "You want danger? Keep fucking with him. Your Queen will show you the definition of danger!"
Kyym simply smirked and rose to her full height, "Oh, I count on it." She chuckled and motioned with her hands for them to haul the Cardassian out of the room and mumbled something to one of those closest to her that Logan simply couldn't make out before something heavy and hard collided with the back of his skull and darkness reigned supreme.
After the initial shock and recoil from the door bursting in, the barked warning from Grant as he was pushed down to his knees served to boil the blood of the Cardassian as the guards entangled themselves around his limbs and tried to forcibly move him into a submissive position. The roar started deep in his chest and saw the muscles in his chest ripple outwards, his arms flexing as he lifted one of the guards off the floor in one hand and thrust him against the wall, striking the door frame where the remnants of the door attached to the hinges, "I am not Cardassian!" He screamed as he hefted the second guard by his armour, the sight of Grant greeting the floor forced his hand and the guard fell to the floor with a heavy thud.
Kyym blinked and sighed heavily, looking from the two wasted men to the big bull with boredom and displeasure deep rooted in her eyes. "You are Cardassian." She replied as stepped closer to the pitiful, though large, creature. "You were born a Cardassian, you've lived as a Cardassian, and..." She smiled again, taking a short staff from one of her guards. It crackled to life with electricity hot, angry, and ready. "You will die as a Cardassian." The Atleantean added as she thrust the stick at him. It didn't matter where it hit he'd seize and be made so much easier to handle. The guards may have been tall and agile, but the Cardassian was far superior in physical strength and brawn. She didn't care.
"If he so much as looks in a direction you don't like, hit him with it again. Do what you must, but he's not to die until I say so." She instructed the men moving in, though her eyes rested on the face of the creature and she reached to caress the surprisingly warm and soft skin of his jaw. "Bring him and the Terran to the great hall and wake the Queen. She needs to know what's happening and address our laws." The guards simply nodded.
"I've never lived as Cardassian," Almar hissed through gritted teeth as his body surged and convulsed from being hit by the weapon. The last thing he saw before the black descended was another pair of guards rushing in to carry him off.
Roused from sleep by fists slamming against the door James shouted, "ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! Fuck!" James draged himself over to the door, holding a phaser in his right hand he threw the door open, "WHAT. DO. YOU. WANT?"
The Atlantian guard, taken slightly aback by the Humans rudeness, replies, "Her royal majesty is needed in the throne room. It's of the greatest importance."
Wiping sleep from his eyes, James pinched the bridge of his nose, "Yeah, sure. Fine. Whatever. I'll let her know." He waved the guard off and shut the door in his face.
James collected his thoughts and yelled, "Hey, Rocky! These creatons are saying they want you in the throne room for whatever reason."
Teá was sound asleep in bed wearing a simple white T-shirt when the knocking started it took Teá awhile to realize someone was knocking at the door. "Who the hell is it?" She yelled as she slid out of the bed and headed for the door.
"Ivanova needs you now, we have a situation," Cecil called through the door, his bathrobe flying behind him as he ran down the corridor on bare feet to wake the others.

Throne Room
Rochelle hadn't been in the best of moods to begin with. When she'd been informed of Almar's incarceration, she'd almost lost the plot right then and there. Her hands shook as she charged down the corridors with her crew in tow. Amelia brought up her right, Archer to her left -- the rest... She didn't stop to look behind the fluttering of her robes. The stupid hand maiden had demanded that she at least wear a crown while playing the role of Queen, and she felt the weight of the heavily jeweled piece as it rode, tangled in her sleep loosened hair.
"What the Hell is going on?!" The Phoenix roared as she flung open the doors to the throne room. People littered the floor, people and faces she couldn't identify and all of them stern and tight lipped. What she did recognize were two of her most trusted friends resting dead center and just before the high platform the throne sat astride. They were on their knees, face down and held firm by guards. "Almar, Logan..." She gasped, faltering in her stride just long enough to seem physically slapped and stunned by the sight before she broke into a run to cross the last few feet between them.
Kyym was quick to step out from behind the throne, allowing her fingers to slide along the velvet bolstered arm of it as she did so. "Your Majesty," she began dryly, "Your seat is up here." A finger heavily tapped the hard wood and the sound echoed in the otherwise quiet hall.
Rochelle looked up at the sound of the Atlantean's voice and her eyes narrowed at the sight of Kyym. "I know where the throne is. What I don't know is why you've done this to them. Release them both!" She ordered, returning her attentions back to the men. Logan seemed relatively unharmed, maybe a bit dazed, but dark amber blood seeping from a particularly nasty split in Almar's lower lip spoke an entirely different story for him. The Commodore was quick to dab at it with the sleeve of her robe.
The Atlantean woman sighed, "For crimes against our people and our world, the Cardassian is being held. The human is held for trying to intercede with our arrest. He doesn't know any better, I'm sure, so our laws are happy to simply let him go and let it serve as a warning to him." Kyym responded and with nothing more than a flip of her hand and curl of her fingers, Logan was released.
"She's fucking crazy." Logan muttered low, meeting his friend's eyes as she worked on the Cardassian Engineer beside him.
Rochelle's eyes closed and she nodded, reaching into the air to gesture for her crew to come forward. "Help Commander Grant to his feet." Was all she said to them, wanting them near and close to Almar as well.
James positioned himself tactically and palmmed a type I phaser. "Fifteen guards and one psycho bitch," he thougth to himself.
Instinctively, Amelia mirrored Archer's position as her hand dipped into the pocket on her green silk bathrobe, confirming that her Type I phaser was indeed in her pocket space. Her eyes likewise combed the room, taking inventory of the people, as well as the various exits. Cecil moved forward to offer his help to Commander Grant as Ivanova had directed.
"The Cardassian is to be executed in accordance to our laws, however." Kyym quipped, watching the tender moment pass between the Queen and her crew.
