Mission: Romulan Ale.. I mean Aide
Location: Ready Room

Ellis walked onto the bridge and strolled to the ready room door and hit the chime he needed to speak with the Captain. To go over the plans they made with security and get an update of what the away team was doing, where they were and what they have found out.

The doors to the ready room opened just a second after Ellis hit the chime as Dar was walking out, "Oh.. Captain King.. " he nodded and moved out onto the bridge, "You have an update?"

The Captain's question was standard but there was an urgency to his pace as he moved to one of the consoles flanking the command chair and accessed it.

"We've agreed that I'll have a security personnel with me while escorting you down to the planet......but at that point myself and my Marines are in-charge of your protection along with the away teams protection. There's no more room for delicate kids gloves." Ellis said straight forwarded.

Olan nodded, "Alright.." he sighed and leaned on the console, "We've lost contact with Commander Lansine and the rest. Sensors show their life signs all active and where they were before but there's some kind of interference with the comms."

Ellis just nodded but he was worried he had sent his sister down seeing as she was trained as a combat medic. {Shit, I should've sent someone else.} "Sir this changes everything I would like to request that Gunnery Sergeant Colbert is allowed to bring a squad to perform a search and rescue while you, myself, security personnel and the diplomat speak with the Romulan in-charge."

"Search and rescue?" he turned to King, "No one is missing as of yet. All life signs are accounted for. However, finding out what is going on is something I would like to do."

"With all respect Captain unable to contact the away team on a Romulan colony isn't something to take lightly." Ellis sad trying to remain calm and professional.

"Relax, Captain. We're going down either way." he headed for the turbolift, "Unfortunately it will now be a surprise visit as Commander Lansine was unable to confirm a meeting with the Governor before communications went out."

Ellis just nodded as he sent word to one of his Marines to meet them where ever they were going with his tactical vest and weapons and also to have Brad set-up with a squad to beam down at the drop of a pin.

Olan actually made a quick trip to the nearest weapons locker to pick up a discreet, if seldom used anymore, type one phaser. He glanced at Ellis with a shrug, "Just in case."

Then he tapped his commbadge, "Lt Ducati to transporter room two on the double for an away mission." he ordered before heading that way himself.

"Do your best to look non-threatening, at least while we're putting on the diplomatic face. No sense in doing anything to provoke if we don't have to." Olan ordered, "As I said this will be a surprise and that will no doubt raise their suspicions enough."

Ellis nodded as he followed the Captain into the lift.
