Mission: Memorias Rotundum
Location: Sol System.

=/\= Workerbee Delta Alpha Seven, outside the USS Vindicator =/\=

There had been several days since the plans had been put in place and now Almar found himself piloting one of the workerbees towards the larger hull breach, the forcefields crackled with debris impacts as the Vindicator held its position in the Sol System, maneuvering ever closer, the Cardassian opened up the comm channel to the other three workerbees, "Alright, we have to get these repairs done as soon as possible, we've got a significant amount of other work to get done."

A series of confirmations came back to him as he moved the craft into place and began cutting away the damaged panels that were due to be replaced, a second workerbee connected to the other side of the panel and followed suit, a section of the hull moved away with the two craft and the second two began moving into position, a new hull plate materialising from the arms of the two workerbees, "Careful Chief, you're drifting to starboard slightly, activate your thrusters and readjust."

"Yes sir." the Chief replied as his thrusters fired and shifted the two craft to port, the panel slid into place and auxillary arms sprouted from the main supports of the workerbees, securing it in place with the rest of the hull, a bright blue light illuminating the joins as the plasma torches tidied up the connection.

“Looking good,” Almar stated as the damaged panel dematerialised from the arms of the first to workerbees, he reached over and activated the comm channel to the engineering teams inside the Vindicator, “Damage control team Four, Verify integrity of hull plating, decks seven, eight and nine, sections twelve, thirteen forward.”

“On it boss,” came the reply from the team waiting, as they worked the four workerbees began moving over to the other side of the saucer, to the next hull breach that needed repairing, it only covered one deck but spread over three sections which meant they needed to replace three full panels of the hull plating.

“Chief, take Anders and begin working on deck four, section six aft,” the Cardassian ordered as he bought his craft around so he could monitor the panel they had just put in place, “Gron and I will join you once this one has been checked.”

=/\= Several Hours Later, Shuttlebay 1, USS Vindicator =/\=

With a creak and a hiss, the rear hatches on the four workerbees opened and landed on the deck of the shuttlebay with a clank, Almar and his team stepped out of their respective craft and gave one and another a nod of approval at a job well done, “Chief, Anders, can you two get the workerbees unloaded and the scrap dematerialised, I've got to write up the reports for the Captain and get the status updates from the damage repair teams.”

“Of course boss,” Anders replied with a slight chuckle as the Chief Petty Officer gave a groan at having to do some extra work, “We can use the cargo haulers to offload everything, it should only take an hour or so.”

“Excellent,” Almar replied as he gave another nod to his team and strode towards the door, it hissed open and he stepped through, moving instinctively towards the turbolift with a purposeful stride, he had a stack of padds in his hand, partial reports that he needed to compile for the Captain to review.
